The Past

In 1996, Mike and a partner founded the company that would eventually become WebHosting.Com. Started from their dorm room at Montreal’s McGill University, WebHosting.Com went from startup to one of the biggest hosting companies in the world in a few short years. Mike’s software development and leadership was the foundation of WebHosting.Com’s technical systems, and ran the hosting infrastructure of major clients such as Bell Canada, KPN, Telecom New Zealand, PCCW, AT&T, Comcast, and Cox Communications.

Mike hand wrote what would become one of the web hosting industry’s first client facing “control panels”. It was not pretty, but it was a game changer.

When not in front of his laptop, Mike can usually be found at the local rink, or outdoors on his bike(s) or running.
